SHP and Delta Health Technologies Announce the Release of a Data Interface Between Their Two Systems for Hospice Providers

Santa Barbara, California – August 16, 2012 – Strategic Healthcare Programs, LLC (SHP), a healthcare performance improvement and benchmarking company, and Delta Health Technologies, LLC (Delta), a provider of home health, hospice and private duty software, announce the release of a data interface between their two systems for hospice providers. Expanding on an existing data interface between the two companies for home health, Delta clients using Delta’s Encore 5.03 now have access to a seamless, automated connection that transmits detailed hospice data to SHP, thus eliminating both manual data entry and file upload for the provider. The hospice provider’s data is then analyzed and dynamically reported on the SHP website in real-time.

With SHPSolutions™, a suite of online, real-time interactive analytic tools, SHP and Delta clients are now able to easily manage QAPI (Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement) requirements put forth in CMS’ Conditions of Participation as well as comply with the upcoming public reporting of hospice quality measures. The interface will soon provide a similar seamless transmission of patient information used by SHP to survey families about their satisfaction with the hospice and bereavement services they received, using the FEHC and FEBS satisfaction survey instruments from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). Combined, the SHPSolutions™ program provides hospices with a 360-degree view of their performance.

According to Barbara Rosenblum, Founder and CEO of Strategic Healthcare Programs, "Delta has always understood the value of providing its clients with solutions, whether that be through enhancement of the Delta product or partnering with another solution provider. Delta clients using SHP for home health reporting are accustomed to having real-time data and robust drill-downs, and are excited to have that same level of functionality for their hospice business, plus the ability to get all their quality data from one dashboard.”

Keith Crownover, President and CEO of Delta Health Technologies, adds, “The best way for us to continue providing outstanding service to our customers is to be responsive to their needs. Many of our customers use SHP for their data analysis and we are pleased to enhance the automated data interface so customers providing Hospice services can simplify their efforts for QAPI and other performance improvement initiatives.”
